Two Arrested in Burbank Attempted Murder

BURBANK (CNS) - A man and a woman are in custody in connection with an attempted murder that occurred in Burbank in April, police reported today.

Sunni Kadijah Rasshad-Jahbari, 29, and Amaray Simone Matthews-Egerton, 26, both of Studio City, were arrested Wednesday for their alleged involvement in a shooting that occurred April 27 in the 4200 block of West Kling Street, according to the Burbank Police Department.

The pair were taken into custody when detectives served a search warrant in the 10000 block of Bluffside Drive in Studio City and were booked on suspicion of attempted murder, with bail set at $2 million, police said.

“Burbank police detectives have determined that this incident was not random in nature and that the victim and suspects knew one another,'' according to a police statement.

No other details about the crime were immediately released.
