Anaheim Police Identify Suspect in Shooting Death

ANAHEIM (CNS) - Anaheim police today released the name of a suspect wanted in the shooting death of a man at an apartment.

The suspect was identified as Fernando Garcia, a 39-year-old Anaheim resident, said Anaheim police Sgt. Shane Carringer.

“Garcia has not been located and is considered armed and dangerous,'' Carringer said.

The shooting happened about 7 p.m. Sunday  in the 200 block of East Clifton Avenue, Carringer said.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, Carringer said. His name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Police set up a perimeter and searched without finding the suspect, he said.
