SANTA ANA (CNS) - Fire damaged a doughnut shop in a strip mall in Santa Ana, but firefighters were able to keep the flames from spreading to five nearby suites, authorities said this morning.

Crews responded about 11:25 p.m. Wednesday to the 600 block of Euclid Street, near McFadden Avenue, and found flames in the business and forced their way through security scissor gates to get inside and extinguish the fire, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.

A knock down was called about 11:45 p.m., the OCFA said, adding that crews kept the flames from spreading to five additional businesses.
