Riverside County Man Arrested at Zuma Beach in Malibu on Weapons Violations

MALIBU (CNS) - A Riverside County man was in custody today for allegedly harassing women at Zuma Beach in Malibu over the weekend while carrying concealed firearms, authorities said.

Kyle Kiddy, 34, was arrested on Sunday and booked on suspicion of violations including carrying a concealed firearm, and was being held on $60,000 bail, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies went to the beach after receiving reports of “a suspicious male harassing female patrons of the beach,'' a sheriff's department statement said.

“Upon their arrival the deputies were directed to an individual whom they identified as Mr. Kyle Kiddy, a resident of Riverside County,'' the statement said. “While speaking to Mr. Kiddy the deputies observed him to be armed with a rifle which was partially concealed by his long trench coat, a violation of California Penal Code section 25400, for which he was detained.

“During the subsequent detention and investigation, the deputies discovered Mr. Kiddy was concealing an additional three firearms and associated ammunition on his person, as well as other items of evidence within his vehicle which was parked nearby,'' the statement said.
