Average L.A. County Gas Price Unchanged

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County was unchanged today, remaining at $3.981 after rising two-tenths of a cent for two consecutive days to its highest amount since Nov. 18, 2019.

The average price is 1.4 cents more than one week ago, 9.1 cents higher than one month ago and $1.046 greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has risen 74.9 cents since the start of the year, mainly because of a run of 59 increases in 60 days totaling 57.9 cents that ended March 21.

The Orange County average price rose two-tenths of a cent to $3.953 after changing by one-tenth of a cent or less for five consecutive days. It rose one-tenth of a cent on Tuesday, was unchanged Monday and Sunday and dropped one-tenth of a cent Saturday and Friday.

The Orange County average price is six-tenths of a cent more than one week ago, 7.6 cents higher than one month ago and $1.044 greater than one year ago. It has risen 74.5 cents since the start of the year to its highest amount since Nov. 16, 2019, mainly because of a run of 72 increases in 73 days totaling 68.1 cents that ended March 20.
