Mike Bonin's Homeless Beach Takeover Plan Is Causing Outrage

LA City Councilman Mike Bonin may have officially pissed off everyone.

His new proposal to house the homeless includes hijacking beach parking lots and converting them to homeless encampments. He has all sorts of crazy word terms for this idea, but the truth is he wants to house the homeless ON THE BEACH !

ABC7:

As the city struggles to house Los Angeles's growing homeless population, councilmember Mike Bonin has proposed a motion that would bring temporary homeless sites to county beaches, including Dockweiler state beach, Fisherman's Village in Marina del Rey, and Will Rogers State Beach in Pacific Palisades.
The motion would use parking lots at the beaches for single-occupancy tiny homes or safe camping.
Bonin's office didn't respond to our request for an interview, but his motion writes "Addressing our homelessness crisis requires a wide range of solutions, applied urgently and simultaneously, targeting different populations and focusing a variety of resources, across the city of Los Angeles."

Local groups and residents of these areas are shouting BS ! The homeless are already fouling up the beaches with human waste, trash and bad behavior.

Resident Jon Brown just started a change.org petition campaign to let Mike Bonin know this idea sucks !!

Jessica Rogers with the Pacific Palisades Residents Association and Jon Brown talked to John & Ken today with reaction to this despicable idea.

Maybe it's time for a Mike Bonin recall too !!
