Bomb Squad Removes Sea Mine That Washed Up On Florida Beach

The bomb squad had to be called in after a sea mine washed up on a Florida beach over the weekend.

  • An officer spotted the mine on Sunday at Lauderdale-By-The-Sea - about 30 miles north of Miami. Bomb squad and Air Force personnel were brought in to safely remove it.
  • The mine reportedly had 'property of US Navy' and 'INERT' written on it - and may have been used for military training purposes.
  • How would you react if you came across a mine on the beach? Ever find anything unusual on the beach?
