Accused Screenshot Bandit Charged with Two Bank Heists in OC

SANTA ANA (CNS) - The alleged “Screenshot Bandit'' was charged today with two bank heists in Orange County.

Kyle Marquise Adlam, 24, was charged with robbing a bank about 2:40 p.m. March 10 in the 26000 block of Aliso Creek Road in Aliso Viejo, as well as another one on Feb. 23 in Fullerton, according to Carrie Braun of the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

Investigators believe he was also involved in bank heists dating back to February in Orange, Los Angeles, Ventura and San Diego counties, Braun said.

He is suspected of targeting banks in grocery stores, where he would allegedly show a demand note on a cell phone indicating he was armed, Braun said.

Adlam was arrested Wednesday and scheduled to be arraigned sometime Friday in the jail courtroom in Santa Ana on the two bank robberies.

The Screenshot Bandit may also face federal charges at some point, said FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller.

He is under investigation for bank heists dating back to mid-February in Burbank, Rosemead, West Hills, Simi Valley, Agoura Hills and Aliso Viejo, Eimiller said.
