Garbage Guy Good!

They call him Garbage Guy, but it’s meant as a compliment.

Billy Adams is a software executive in Washington D.C. During the pandemic, he needed a way to stay fit and wanted a way to help the community.

So every day, he picks a different 12 mile route and walks it, picking up all the litter he sees. It was the employees at a Starbucks on M Street that dubbed him Garbage Guy. When he comes in for a cup, they have an empty trash bag ready for him to take on his jaunt.

Although this has been a one-man effort, Billy says he’d like to organize a group effort for Earth Day on April 22.
