The CDC is Expected to Update School Reopening Guidance

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is expected to change its guidance for schools today.

CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky says one of the changed directives could include reducing social distancing requirements from six feet to three feet.

“Indeed, because six feet has been such a challenge there, science has leaned in and there are now emerging studies on the question between three feet and six feet.”

Walensky added that a study published last week supports this as it found “no significant difference” between distancing by three feet and six feet,
