LASD Seeks Information in Attack That Left 73-Year-Old Man Severely Burned

PARAMOUNT (CNS) - Authorities today sought the public's help in finding an attacker who used fire to severely burn a 73-year-old man in Paramount.

The victim, whose name was not released, was assaulted in front of his home in the 16600 block of Indiana Avenue on March 5, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The assailant struck him on the head and lit his clothes on fire, causing him severe burns, the sheriff's department said.

Two weeks later, the man remained in the hospital.

Any information that leads to an arrest may be eligible for a $5,000 reward, the sheriff's department said.
