FEMA Will Reimburse Families of COVID Victims for Funeral Expenses

The Federal Emergency Management Agency announced it will reimburse funeral expenses to families of coronavirus victims.

According to a post by the agency, FEMA has $2 billion from the CARES Act for reimbursements and the funds will be given out for COVID-19 related funeral expenses that occurred between January 20th and December 31st, 2020.

FEMA said it will set up a funeral assistance program and work with various groups to help reach those who qualify.
