Boy's Toy Returned With Extras!

Hagen Davis left his beloved Buzz Lightyear toy on a Southwest flight from Sacramento to Dallas, and a couple of Southwest staffer went above and beyond to make it right.

The toy was found by operations agent Beth Buchanan. She noticed the name “Hagen” written on the bottom of the toy. She could have just put it in the lost and found bin, but Buchanan instead checked the passenger list. Her colleague, Jason Hamm, saw the toy on her desk, and decided to have it returned in epic style.

While waiting for the Davis family to respond to his email asking for a mailing address, Hamm took the toy on a photo taking tour of the airport, snapping shots of Buzz in front of planes, engines and even in the cockpit. Then he wrote a letter to Hagen that said:

“To Commander Hagen,”“I am very excited to return to you upon completing my mission. I was able to explore the airport and spaceport in Little Rock, Arkansas while I was away, and I have included photos of my adventure. My journey has taught me a lot but I am so thankful to return to my buddy.

To infinity and beyond! Your buddy, Buzz Lightyear.”

Hamm printed the photos, and put them into a box along with the letter and a carefully bubble-wrapped Buzz, He decorated the box with drawings and quotes from the Toy Story movies and sent it off. Needless to say, young Hagen was thrilled beyond words.
