Glendale Man Arrested for Multiple Charges

GLENDALE (CNS) - A 28-year-old man on probation suspected of identity theft, vehicle theft and possessing heroin and methamphetamine for sale was arrested, Glendale police announced today.

Arsen Emboyan was arrested after an officer observed him pull into a motel parking lot next to a motorcycle on the 6700 block of San Fernando Road, near Western Avenue, just before 9 p.m. Friday, according to Sgt. Christian Hauptmann, the Glendale Police Department's public information officer.

The officer observed Emboyan walk into a motel room, then back to the vehicle, Hauptmann said.

The officer discovered Emboyan was on probation and that the license plate on the vehicle he was driving did not belong to that vehicle. The officer also found Emboyan was in possession of a driver's license in someone else's name, Hauptmann said.

Officers ran the vehicle identification number of the car Emboyan was driving and found that it was reported stolen. A records check of the motorcycle revealed that it was also reported stolen, police said.

During a search of the vehicle, officers found tax paperwork, various pieces of mail, California identification cards, employee identification cards and other personal documents belonging to more than 10 other people.

A search of Emoyan's motel room revealed methamphetamine, heroin, evidence of illegal drug sales and “an array of burglary tools,'' according Hauptmann.

Emboyan was also arrested for a probation violation and suspicion of possession of burglary tools.
