Metro C Line Service Will Be Partially Suspended This Weekend

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Rail service on LA Metro's C (Green) Line will be partially suspended this weekend, beginning tonight, to upgrade signal systems.

Service will be suspended starting at 9 p.m. Friday and through the end of service on Sunday.

Bus shuttles -- which will run every 15 minutes from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and every 20 minutes during other times -- will be provided at all stations when they are out of service. The J (Silver) Line Harbor Freeway station will remain open and accessible.

Rail service will be suspended at:

-- Willowbrook/Rosa Parks;

-- Avalon;

-- Harbor Freeway;

-- Vermont/Athens; and

-- Crenshaw.

Regular service for the C line will continue between Norwalk and Willowbrook/Rosa Parks stations, and passengers can transfer to a bus shuttle to continue their trip from Crenshaw to Redondo Beach.

The LAX Shuttle G will continue to run on its regular schedule and stop at Aviation/LAX station, but other options to get to LAX include Metro Lines 102, 111, 117 and 232.
