LAPD Searching For H&R Driver Who Killed Pedestrian In Arlington Heights

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Police asked for the public's help today to find a hit-and-run driver who fatally struck a pedestrian crossing in a marked crosswalk this morning in the Arlington Heights area of Los Angeles.

The crash happened about 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of Venice Boulevard and Wilton Place, Los Angeles police reported.

The pedestrian died at the scene. The deceased's gender and age were not yet disclosed. The name of the victim was withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The pickup that hit and killed the pedestrian was described as a Chevrolet Silverado with an extended cab, police said. It had a front left, black wheel and rear left, factory alloy wheel, with possible collision damage to the left side.
