LAGUNA BEACH (CNS) - A hit-and-run suspect who led Laguna Beach police on a chase this evening was shot and wounded by officers.
The pursuit began sometime after 6 p.m. and ended shortly before 7 p.m., according to the Orange County Register.
It ended when the suspect crashed into a hillside near Pacific Coast Highway and Cardinal Drive and then allegedly drove his car at the pursuing officers, the Register reported.
The suspect, whose name was not yet released, was transported to a hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound.
