LOS ANGELES (CNS) - An eight-part documentary series on the East Los Angeles College men's basketball team from the makers of the junior college football series “Last Chance U'' begins streaming on Netflix today.
The 2019-20 Huskies squad featured on “Last Chance U: Basketball'' mixed three players from NCAA Division I schools -- forward Joseph Hampton (Penn State), guard Deshaun Highler (UTEP) and guard-forward Jay Davis (San Jose State) -- with several freshmen from the Los Angeles area, including guard-forward Kealen Allen, the Los Angeles City Section's 2018-19 Player of the Year while playing for Westchester High.
“We're excited to see the stories of our East L.A. athletes shown throughout the world," said ELAC Athletic Director Bobby Godinez. “This is a huge moment not just for our athletes and program, but for our college and community as well.''
