IRVINE (CNS) - A motorist was killed today in a single-vehicle crash in Irvine.
The crash on Culver Drive at Warner Avenue was reported about 7:30a.m. by the Irvine Police Department.
“A vehicle traveling south on Culver left the roadway, struck a tree, and caught fire,'' Irvine police said in a statement. “The driver was alone in the vehicle and is deceased.''
Information was not immediately available on the identity of the fatally injured person.
Southbound lanes of Culver Drive were closed in the area while an investigation was conducted.
