COMPTON (CNS) - A man was killed this morning in a shooting in Compton.
Deputies from Century Station responded about 12:25 a.m. to a shots fired call in the 2600 block of 124th Street, near Alameda Street, where they found the victim in the driver's seat of a vehicle suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the upper body, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, the department said.
A motive for the shooting and description of any suspect were not immediately available.
