Fire Damages Boarded Up Home in Reseda

RESEDA (CNS) - Fire ripped through the attic of a vacant and boarded up home in Reseda tonight, burning for 23 minutes before being extinguished by firefighters.

Crews responded at 11:12 p.m. to the 7200 block of Lindley Avenue, north of Sherman Way, and found heavy fire in the attic of the one-story home, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

A total of 38 firefighters worked to extinguish the flames and a knockdown was called at 11:35 p.m., Humphrey said.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
