90-Year-Old Seattle Woman Walks 6 Miles In The Snow For COVID-19 Vaccine

A 90-year-old Seattle woman wasn't going to let a little snow - or a lot of snow, for that matter - keep her from getting vaccinated.

  • Fran Goldman had an appointment to get the COVID-19 vaccine on Sunday - an appointment that took weeks to get. But the day before, a winter storm made it impossible to get her car from the driveway.
  • Undeterred, Fran trudged through the snow on foot, making a six-mile trek to and from the clinic to get her shot. She's hoping the weather is a little nicer when she goes back for the second dose.

When's the last time you walked six miles, in any weather? Would you have done what Fran did, or just wait for another appointment?
