A Mississippi teen named, Thomas Ramsey, lost his rooster in Alabama at a Cracker Barrel.
Ramsey and his friends were headed home from a Civil War reenactment when they decided to grab some food from Crack Barrel. The teen put a leash on Peep, the rooster, and tied him to his truck and went inside. He claims he has done this many times before. When he left the restaurant his rooster was gone.
"I went back into Cracker Barrel and it was hard for me to say this with a straight face, even though I was panicking 'Do you have cameras in the parking lot? I think someone stole my chicken.'" recalled Ramsey.
He drove around several times in search of Peep even checking local farmers but with no luck. Fortunately about 30 minutes away from his home, Ramsey received good news that a man found Peep in the parking lot of the Cracker Barrel. Farmer John Watson drove the rooster back to Birmingham where he was reunited with Ramsey.
