Pedestrian Fatally Injured in Pasadena; Hit-And-Run Motorist Sought

PASADENA (CNS) - A pedestrian was struck and killed by two vehicles in Pasadena, and police today sought public help to find the second motorist, who fled the scene.

The pedestrian, a Pasadena resident in his 60s, died about 6:40 p.m. Thursday at Washington Boulevard and Hudson Avenue, said Pasadena police Lt. Anthony Burgess.

A vehicle that was westbound on Washington Boulevard hit the man, and that motorist remained at the scene, Burgess said. The motorist was not cited or arrested.

Witnesses told police that a second car, described only as a white sedan, hit the man and kept going, Burgess said.

Authorities withheld the name of the victim pending notification of his family.

Anyone with information about the hit-and-run driver was urged to call Pasadena police at 626-744-4241 or 626-744-4539; or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
