POMONA (CNS) - An illegal casino also operating as an illegal marijuana dispensary was busted today in Pomona.
Officers with the Pomona Police Department's Special Investigation Unit served a search warrant about 5:40 p.m. at a commercial building in the 1500 block of West Second Street after receiving numerous complaints about a variety of illegal activities occurring on the property, Sgt. Scott Hess said.
Once inside the building, investigators confirmed the location was operating as an illegal marijuana dispensary and gambling casino, Hess said. The sale of marijuana is illegal in Pomona.
More than five pounds of marijuana, another 32 pounds of marijuana product, an illegal gun and ammunition was recovered, Hess said.
No arrests were immediately reported.
