Coke Launching New Bottle Size Made of 100% Recycled Plastic

Coca-Cola is launching a new bottle for the first time in a decade! The interesting thing about this bottle is it's made of 100% recycled plastic material.

Coca-Cola has been trying to reduce it's plastic waste for several years and now the 13.2 ounce recyclable bottle will be available to some customers on shelves this week. According to 6abc the new bottle will be available starting this month in select states across the Northeast, including New York, Connecticut, California, and Florida, before launching nationwide this month.

"We've been listening to consumers and they have been telling us they want something a little smaller and a little more easy to consume. We took this opportunity to to make a bottle with plastic that's 100% recyclable." said Alpa Sutaria, Coca-Cola's general manager of sustainability.

The 13.2 ounce size is slightly larger than the aluminum can option and smaller than the aluminum can but smaller than the 20 ounce size bottle. Unique sizes tend to garnish strong sales. Keep an eye out for the new Coca-Cola recyclable bottle.
