Armed Man Steals Chicken From Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles In Pasadena

PASADENA (CNS) - A confrontation between a customer not wearing a mask and employees at the Pasadena Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles led to the man pulling a gun and stealing chicken from the restaurant.

The robbery occurred about 5:40 p.m. at 830 N. Lake Ave., according to Pasadena police Lt. Bill Grisafe.

The suspect was not wearing a mask when he and another man walked into the restaurant, prompting an argument with employees, who asked him to put on a mask. The man responded by pulling a gun on workers, police said.

Surveillance footage aired by ABC7 showed the suspect place an item on a counter near the kitchen, then pull a gun and enter the cooking area. He is later seen walking through the restaurant with a plate of food, pushing a table out of the way as he exited the business.

Cook Robert Gonzalez told the station the armed suspect walked into the kitchen said “Put all the chicken in the bag.''

It did not appear the thief took anything other than food, police said.

No injuries were reported and the suspect remained at large.
