Super Bowl 2021 commercials: A More Serious Tone

Super Bowl LV, this Sunday will look a little different this year all thanks to our lovely pandemic. What will be somewhat normal will be the Super Bowl ads. Companies spend millions of dollars for their spot to be seen by the massive Super Bowl audience. Although the ads may take on a more serious tone. Below are a few examples.

Patrick Mahomes will be taking his Kansas City Chiefs back to the Super Bowl and for Tom Brady this will be his 10th Super Bowl appearance but first time with Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

It has become customary for companies to release their Super Bowl ads online prior to their airing during the game. This has become a point of contention for fans, who feel its spoils the anticipation. I agree, but they released them - so what the heck let's watch them now and use the bathroom during the big game commercial breaks.

In 2002 Tom Brady led New England to an 11-5 regular-season record and wins over the Raiders and Steelers in the AFC playoffs before beating the LA Rams in Super Bowl 36. On the day that Brady earned his first ring, Patrick Mahomes was six years, four months, and 17 days old.

Super Bowl LV marks the second straight championship in which both teams primarily wear red. Don't get the teams mixed up! BS Sports App.

Super Bowl LV is scheduled to kick off at 6:30 p.m. ET on CBS. You can stream it free on CBSSports.com or the CBS Sports App.
