LOS ANGELES (CNS) -The positive COVID-19 test in the USC program that prompted the postponement of Thursday's men's basketball game against Stanford was determined to be a false positive following multiple additional tests, the university announced.
USC will work with the Pac-12 Conference and Stanford to reschedule the game on a mutually agreed upon date, university officials said Friday.
The Trojans (11-3, 5-2 in Pac-12 Conference play) are scheduled to resume their season Saturday by facing California (7-9, 2-7) at Berkeley. The game will be the first for USC since its six-game winning streak was ended Tuesday with a 58-56 loss at Oregon State.
The Trojans will be playing their 10th game in the past 26 days Saturday.
