One year down, 22 more to go! Joe Exotic is knocking the years off of his sentence for plotting to kill his nemesis, animal rights activist Carole effing Baskin.
Exotic was planning to receive a pardon from Donald Trump but when it never came he spoke out according to People magazine.
"I was too innocent and too GAY to deserve the pardon from Donald Trump during his last days as the President. I only mattered to Don Jr. when he needed to make a comment about me to boost his social media post. Boy were we all stupid to believe he actually stood for Equal Justice? His corrupt friends all come first!"
Joe Exotic rose to fame for his murder-for-hire plot and for his outrageous attention grabbing behavior, chronicled in the Netflix series 'Tiger King.'
Carole Baskin the recipient of all his rage has spoken out as well,
"I'm taking a deep breath because I feel such a sense of relief. From the very time that he was sentenced I have worried about there being a presidential pardon that could undo all the of the hard work that went into bringing this person to justice. When a new president was sworn in, I felt like I was finally safe from that threat."
After Joe Exotic's application for a pardon was rejected, he filed a lawsuit against the Department of Justice, accusing the acting pardon attorney of not fulfilling her administrative duty by passing along a recommendation.
