ANAHEIM (CNS) - A woman was hospitalized this morning in critical condition after being freed from the wreckage of a solo vehicle crash off the Riverside (91) Freeway in Anaheim.
The crash occurred about 1 a.m. on the Imperial Highway off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Anaheim Fire & Rescue crews need about 45 minutes to free the woman from the vehicle, which flew off the freeway and crashed into some palm trees, one of which penetrated the cabin of the vehicle, according to Battalion Chief Tim Adams.
The age and name of the victim were not disclosed.
An investigation into what led up to the crash was underway.
