LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose today for the 12th consecutive day and 17th time in 18 days, increasing six-tenths of a cent to $3.314, its highest amount since March 20.
The average price has risen 10.2 cents over the past 18 days, including 1 cent on both Tuesday and Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 5.7 cents above one week ago and 15.9 cents higher than one month ago but 28.8 cents less than one year ago.
The Orange County average price rose for the ninth consecutive day to its highest amount since March 19, increasing 1 cent to $3.295. It has risen 7.7 cents over the past nine days, including 1.3 cents on Wednesday.
The Orange County average price is 5.4 cents more than one week ago and 16.2 cents higher than a month ago but 25.3 cents less than one year ago.
