Southland Gas Prices Still On The Rise

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose today for the 11th consecutive day and 16th time in the past 17 days, increasing one cent for a second straight day to $3.308 -- its highest amount since March 20.

It is 6.4 cents more than one week ago and 15.1 cents higher than one month ago, but 29.5 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The Orange County average price rose for the eighth consecutive day to its highest amount since March 19, increasing 1.3 cents to $3.285.

The Orange County average price is 6.2 cents more than one week ago and 15.2 cents higher than a month ago, but 26.5 cents less than one year ago.
