Long Beach Police Seek Public Help to Solve March 2020 Homicide

LONG BEACH (CNS) - Long Beach police today sought public help to solve the killing of a woman who was found dead in her home more than nine months ago.

Terry Limas, 44, was discovered in the residence in the 1300 block of Taper Street about 10:40 p.m. last March 30, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

Another resident arrived home and discovered Limas unresponsive, then dialed 911, police said.

“Based on suspicious circumstances, homicide detectives responded to the scene to investigate,'' according to a LBPD statement. In August of 2020, detectives learned the autopsy conducted by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner ... determined victim Limas' death was the result of a homicide.''

The autopsy listed the cause of death as “combined effects of multiple traumatic injuries, smothering, traumatic asphyxia (and) methamphetamine,'' the coroner's office reported.

Anyone with information on the case was urged to call police at 562-570-7244, or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
