L.A. County Gas Prices Rise Again

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose two-tenths of a cent today to $3.239, its highest amount since March 24.

The average price has risen eight of the past nine days, increasing 2.7 cents, including two-tenths of a cent on Monday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 1.6 cents more than one week ago and 8.7 cents higher than one month ago, but 36.9 cents less than one year ago.

The Orange County average price dropped four-tenths of a cent to $3.218, one day after increasing a half-cent to its highest amount since March 22.

It is 1.2 cents more than one week ago and 9 cents higher than a month ago, but 31.8 cents less than one year ago.
