Silver Alert Issued For Man, 73, Last Seen in Montebello

MONTEBELLO (CNS) - A Silver Alert was issued this morning for a 73-year-old man who suffers from an undisclosed medical condition, may become disoriented and was reported missing after last being seen in Montebello.

Armando Herrera was last seen at about 9:30 p.m. Monday on Hibiscus Street near Avenida De La Merced, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued the alert on behalf of the Montebello Police Department.

Herrera is Hispanic, 5-feet-4 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was believed to be wearing a dark green sweater and blue jeans, the CHP said.

Anyone who sees Herrera was asked to call 911.

The Silver Alert program was established to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearance of elderly, developmentally disabled and cognitively impaired individuals, according to the California Highway Patrol.
