LeBron James, Anthony Davis Expected to Make Preseason Debuts Tonight

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - LeBron James and Anthony Davis are expected to make their 2020 preseason debuts tonight when the Los Angeles Lakers face the Phoenix Suns in Phoenix.

“I do plan on playing AD and LeBron some first-half minutes, kind of get their feet wet,'' coach Frank Vogel told reporters in a video conference Tuesday.

When asked what he wants James and Davis to accomplish Wednesday night, Vogel responded, “I just want to see them go out and try to get a rhythm, get comfortable with some of their new teammates and try to get their legs under the a little bit.''

“We've been trying to intentionally every day monitor the amount of work we put on those guys after the shortest off-season in history and that will be no different with these next two preseason games,'' Vogel said.

James and Davis did not play in the Lakers' first two preseason games, victories over the Los Angeles Clippers Friday and Sunday at Staples Center.
