L.A. County Gas Prices Fall Slightly

Holiday Travelers Benefit As Gas Prices Continue To Fall

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County fell eight-tenths of a cent today to $3.147.

The average price is a half-cent less than one week ago, two-tenths of a cent less than one month ago and 53.2 cents cheaper than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The Orange County average price rose two-tenths of a cent to $3.135. It is 1.1 cents more than one week ago and 2.1 cents higher than one month ago, but 46 cents less than one year ago.
