Man Beaten with Pipe in Westlake District

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A man about 40 years old was assaulted by two pipe- wielding suspects in the Westlake district and both suspects were on the loose this morning.  

The attack was reported at 8:50 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of Rosemont Avenue, near the Hollywood (101) Freeway and Alvarado Street, according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer Tony Im.  

Paramedics took the victim to a hospital in unknown condition, Im said.  

Witnesses reported the victim was unconscious and not breathing before paramedics arrived, he said.  

Police were looking for two men who fled the scene in a white Toyota Camry, Im said. One wore a white hooded sweatshirt and the other a black hooded sweatshirt.
