Average L.A. County Gas Price Drops Slightly

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped three-tenths of a cent today to $3.153, one day after rising one-tenth of a cent.

The average price is one-tenth of a cent more than one week ago but eight-tenths of a cent less than one month ago and 65 cents lower than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has decreased 46.2 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price dropped two-tenths of a cent to $3.13, one day after increasing one-tenth of a cent. It is one-tenth of a cent more than one week ago and nine-tenths of a cent higher than one month ago but 59.8 cents less than one year ago.

The Orange County average price has decreased 41.5 cents since the start of the year.
