LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped one-tenth of a cent today to $3.152 after back-to-back increases totaling 1.1 cents.
The average price is seven-tenths of a cent more than one week ago but 2.2 cents less than one month ago and 72.1 cents lower than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has decreased 46.3 cents since the start of the year.
The Orange County average price rose for the third consecutive day, increasing a half-cent to $3.129. It rose 1 cent on Thursday and three-tenths of a cent on Wednesday.
The Orange County average price is 1.7 cents more than one week ago but eight-tenths of a cent less than one month ago and 67.6 cents lower than one year ago. It has decreased 41.6 cents since the start of the year.
