Major Retailers Will Be Closed On Thanksgiving

Many retailers will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. Simon Property Group says it made the decision to shut its doors this coming holiday in an effort to offer its employees a well-deserved break for their efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic. Simon Property Group Chairman and CEO David Simon said in a press release Monday:

"In these challenging times, we made the decision that we will not open on Thanksgiving Day, instead allowing our associates to spend the holiday with their loved ones."

Home Depot has traditionally been closed for Thanksgiving Day. The company announced that it will be extending Black Friday deals for two months to accommodate shoppers this year. Home Depot’s website:
