LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County was unchanged today, remaining at $3.143 after dropping two-tenths of a cent for two consecutive days to its lowest amount since July 23.
The average price is six-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, 3.9 cents lower than one month ago and 78.8 cents cheaper than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has decreased 47.2 cents since the start of the year.
The Orange County average price rose one-tenth of a cent for the second consecutive day to $3.114 after remaining unchanged Friday. It is unchanged from one week ago, 2.9 cents less than one month ago and 75.7 cents lower than one year ago. The Orange County average price has decreased 43.1 cents since the start of the year.
