Little Change to Average Southland Gas Prices

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped two-tenths of a cent today to $3.145, its lowest amount since July 23, one day after remaining unchanged.

The average price is 1.1 cents less than one week ago, 3.9 cents lower than one month ago and 82.3 cents cheaper than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has decreased 47 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price was unchanged, remaining at $3.112, one day after dropping two-tenths of a cent to its lowest amount since July 16. It is 1 cent less than one week ago, 3.7 cents lower than one month ago and 79.7 cents cheaper than one year ago.

The Orange County average price has decreased 43.3 cents since the start of the year.
