Average Southland Gas Prices Drop

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped a half-cent today to $3.151 after being unchanged for two consecutive days.

The average price is seven-tenths of a cent less than one week ago,4.2 cents lower than one month ago and 90 cents cheaper than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has decreased 46.4 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price dropped a half-cent to $3.117, one day after rising one-tenth of a cent. It is three-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, 4.1 cents lower than one month ago and 87.6 cents cheaper than one year ago.

The Orange County average price has decreased 42.8 cents since the start of the year.
