Santa Ana Police Searching For Woman Who Assaulted Man

SANTA ANA (CNS) - Police asked for the public's help today to find a female assault and battery suspect who punched a man outside an apartment building in Santa Ana.

The attack took place in front of an apartment complex in the 3000 block of West First Street at about 8 p.m. on Oct. 21, according to Santa Ana police.

Police also released surveillance video of the attack, which can be viewed at www.youtube.com/watch?v=6l0qt9L2I6U&feature=youtu.be.

The suspect appeared agitated when she confronted the victim outside and demanded money from him, police reported. When he refused to give her any money and told her to leave, she began hitting him with both fists and then fled the scene.

The woman was Black, between 20 and 30 years old, stood between 5-feet-2 inches and 5-feet-4 inches tall. She was heavy set and last seen wearing a pink jacket and tan leggings, police said.
