LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Construction crews this week are scheduled to remove a pedestrian bridge connecting Terminal 3 to Parking Structure 3 at LAX, as work to modernize the airport continues.
On Wednesday and Thursday between midnight and 4 a.m., crews will use blow torches to separate the steel bridge, as a 400-ton crane picks up the sections, according to airport officials.
During construction, both levels of World Way North will be closed.
The removal is part of an ongoing modernization effort, which includes constructing an automated people mover and renovating Terminals 2 and 3.
