Semi Crash Spills Fuel On North Hollywood Freeway

NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CNS) - Authorities responded to a big rig crash that spilled fuel along the westbound Ventura (134) Freeway just west of the connector to the Hollywood (170) Freeway today.

The Los Angeles Fire Department got the call of a multi-vehicle collision at 5:43 a.m. near the three-way border of North Hollywood, Studio City and Toluca Lake, but there were no patient transports required, according to LAFD spokesperson Margaret Stewart.

The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert for the westbound 134 transition road to the northbound 170 for one hour due to a traffic collision.

More than 90 minutes later, three right lanes were still blocked because of the spill incident clean-up, but by 8:25 a.m., all lanes had opened, according to the CHP.
