Cops Called on "Homeless Jesus" Statue Minutes After Being Installed

A statue of homeless Jesus lying on a bench outside an Ohio church got some attention the day it was installed and not for the reason you'd think.

The statue was placed on the grounds of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Bay Village and according to the church’s pastor, Alex Martin, he received a call twenty minutes later from police asly someone thought it was an actual homeless person.

The sculpture, has been placed at various churches and religious organizations in the area since October 2018 and St. Barnabas will host the statue until December 1st.

Martin explained the significance of the statue, saying that the hope is that the statue will inspire those who see it to take action and help others.
