Average L.A. County Gas Price Drops Slightly

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped a half-cent today to $3.191 after decreasing one-tenth of a cent for four consecutive days.

The average price is seven-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, 3.1 cents lower than one month ago and $1.043 cheaper than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has decreased 42.4 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price dropped two-tenths of a cent to $3.158, one day after decreasing one-tenth of a cent. It is four-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, 4.2 cents lower than one month ago and $1.039 cheaper than one year ago. It has decreased 38.7 cents since the start of the year.
